On May 1st, Down the Hatch will be dressed in lei’s handmade by the staff accompanied by a blessing & conch blowing. Traditional storytelling of the May Day Kings & Queens will be shared along with live music and hula dancing! Guests will be able to indulge in traditional Hawaiian cuisine, such as poké, Kalua pork, and shave ice, while sipping on refreshing mai tais and other tropical cocktails.

One of the highlights of the day will be the lei-making workshop, where attendees can learn how to make their own lei using fresh flowers picked from Olowalu.
