Down the Hatch was established in 2015 by three childhood friends from Georgia. After years of living in Maui, and working in the service industry, Javier, Dave, & Julian decided to open a seafood restaurant/bar catering to the community and guests of this beautiful island with their own unique style of Southern Aloha!
Now serving Breakfast, Lunch, Happy Hour, Dinner, & Late Night! Down the Hatch - A Place to Eat Fish has the best seafood around, featuring locally sourced Fresh Fish, we pride ourselves on our Fish n' Chips, Mahi Mahi Tacos, and Ahi dishes. We add our flair of Southern Aloha with our Chicken & Waffles and Shrimp Po'Boy, yet have a variety of Hawaiian Island favorites like our Local Style Plates, Lobster & Crab Grilled Cheese, Calamari and more! Our bar offers handcrafted cocktails and local beers. Hosting the Longest Happy Hour on Maui (daily 2p-6p), with your favorite Hawaiian cocktails for only $5 (Mai Tai, Pina Coloda & Lava Flow), $4 Wells, $3 Select Drafts, & 20% Off Appetizers.
We have outdoor seating in our beautiful courtyard, free & validated parking available, and we are kid friendly.
